The Bangladesh Society of Radiation Oncologists
The Bangladesh Society of Radiation Oncologists is a not for profit incorporated society that was initiated primarily to promote the exchange of new research and clinical developments in clinical oncology and cancer research.
Its key purpose is to bring together oncologists and cancer researchers. It is hoped this will both improve the quality of care and cancer research, and make each mutually supportive of the other. It is also intended that it provides a network for development of clinical trials, experimental therapies and facilitates the testing of new scientific hypotheses.
This activity is focused through the annual meeting of the the Bangladesh Society of Radiation Oncologists which encourages young researchers both in the scientific area and the clinical area. The meetings are organised in turn by regional committees in each of the main centres, who strive to create balanced programmes of interest to both scientists and clinicians alike.
